Service Description
Level: Senior (Level 3 - Years 7-12) VEX V5 represents our fifth generation of educational robotics systems developed with 20 years of experience using robotics to teach STEM principles. V5 electronics are approachable, flexible and powerful, using state-of-the-art technology to ensure relevant education outcomes. The V5 mechanical system includes versatile elements that make engineering approachable for novice users, while still providing experienced users with endless design possibilities. VEX allows students to hone critical computational thinking skills needed to succeed in both the 21st-century workforce and in everyday life. Our advanced VEX V5 course is for high school students. They build robots using metal components which are far more sophisticated and use a higher level of programming. During each lesson, the students will spend some time learning theory about engineering, robotics, and physics. Students will then be able to develop their hands-on skills to construct a project in teams that relate to the theory taught, to better enhance their knowledge. Some lessons during the term are special lessons where students can learn about more complex robots including a wide range of sensors, motors, and controllers, as well as being able to learn how to control and drive a robot. Programming sessions are also included where students can program a robot to complete automated tasks. Wondering why the total lesson price varies from term to term? Each term we might have a different number of lessons depending on how it fits into the NSW public and private school term. The price increases with more lessons each term and decreases with fewer lessons.
